Most of the agricultural areas will continue to be sunny and good for autumn harvest.

According to the forecast of the Central Meteorological Observatory, in the next three days, in addition to the continuous rainy weather in the southwestern region, most of the country's agricultural areas will continue to have fine weather, which is conducive to autumn harvest.

Rainy weather in Southwest China

From 19 to 21, there were many rainy weather in the southwestern part of the country. Among them, some parts of western Yunnan have moderate rain and partial heavy rain. The accumulated rainfall is generally 20-50 mm. The southeastern part of Qinghai, the northwestern part of the western Sichuan Plateau, and the eastern part of Tibet have small snow (rain). Or sleet. In the coming week, there will be more rainy weather in parts of southwest China.

Possible impact of future weather on autumn harvest

It is expected that from October 19 to 21, most of the major agricultural areas will have more sunny weather, suitable for harvesting, drying and storage of autumn harvest crops; suitable weather in autumn sowing areas will facilitate the sowing and emergence of winter wheat in the north and the rapeseed in the eastern part of the Yangtze River and the southwestern part of the country. Planting and seedling growth (Figure 1 and Figure 2).

It is expected that there will be light rain in the southwestern region from October 19 to 20, and moderate rain will occur in parts of northwestern Yunnan and southern Sichuan, which will have an impact on autumn harvesting.

It is expected that the frost area will gradually shrink in the next three days; on the 19th, there will be frost in eastern Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang and eastern Jilin; on the 21st, the frost area will shrink to the northeast of Inner Mongolia. The autumn harvest crops in most of the above areas have been matured, and frost has no effect on crop yield.

It is expected that from October 19 to 21, cold weather will occur in parts of southern Jiangnan and central and northern South China, which will have a certain impact on the pollination of late rice that is still in the stage of heading and flowering.

Agricultural production advice

First, all localities pay close attention to the weather changes. In the unfinished areas, we must seize the fine weather and harvest mature crops in time. The autumn harvest should pay attention to ventilation, drying and mildew.

Second, the winter wheat area that has not yet been planted in the north should use the recent fine weather to speed up the planting schedule; the already-sowed areas should strengthen field management, timely check seedlings and replenish seedlings, and ensure the quality of winter wheat emergence.

Third, the rapeseed production area in the Yangtze River Basin should seize the favorable weather, timely fertilize the land, cultivate strong seedlings, and grasp the transplanting of rapeseed during the suitable sowing period.

Fourth, the southern part of the south of the Yangtze River and South China should strengthen the management of late rice, pay attention to water temperature regulation, reduce the adverse effects of low temperature and cold dew; the late rice in the north of the Yangtze River has matured, and should catch the fine weather and timely harvest.
