Current status and prospects of cubic boron nitride tools

Cubic boron nitride tool is a new type of tool developed in the 1970s. It has high heat resistance and wear resistance. It is mainly used for processing difficult-to-machine materials such as hardened steel, thermal spray materials and chilled cast iron. At present, there are 4 to 5 factories in China that can produce cubic boron nitride tools. The LDP-J-CFII type cubic boron nitride tool is the latest product of Chengdu Tool Research Institute and our factory. After two years of promotion and application, the effect is better, which lays a solid foundation for the further promotion and application of cubic boron nitride tools.
