The report also said that the electricity provided by wind power will meet the global electricity demand of 11.7% -12.6%, which means that reducing carbon dioxide emissions nearly 1.7 billion tons. Under less optimistic circumstances, the total capacity may only reach 587-759 GW, but still account for more than 8% of the world's electricity supply. However, the report emphasizes that systematic and extensive government support is urgent and necessary to ensure the flourishing development of this new industry.

At present, other renewable energy fields such as solar energy and the clean energy industry are bound to become the mainstream in the world. It is estimated that by 2020, only 2.1 billion jobs will be provided by the wind power industry. After the early explosive growth, prices will gradually stabilize.

According to the report, under the most pessimistic circumstances, the annual wind power market will not grow or all contracts will reach 2015. After that, by 2020, it may shrink by 10% at the 2011 level. On the contrary, with the efficient support of governments around the world, the wind power market may continue to increase significantly between 2015 and 2020, which means that by 2030, the total installed capacity will be between 1,600-2,500 GW.
