Zibo: Ceramics exports hit the highest level in recent years

From Zibo Customs learned that the city’s exports of ceramic products in the first quarter earned US$51.27 million, an increase of 13.4% year-on-year, reaching its highest value in the same period in recent years.

The ceramic products exported from the city are mainly coffee cups, ceramic tableware and architectural tiles. The major export markets are concentrated in the European Union, the United States, and South Korea. They exported 9.62 million U.S. dollars, 7.63 million U.S. dollars, and 7.04 million U.S. dollars, respectively, and the three markets together accounted for the same period. 47.4% of the city's total ceramic exports. Among export enterprises, private enterprises exported US$25.97 million, an increase of 24%, accounting for 50.6% of the total value of ceramics exports of the city in the same period.

The relevant person in charge of Zibo Customs stated that the city’s ceramic exports have been growing steadily. On the one hand, due to the fact that ceramics companies in this city have accelerated the transfer of methods and structural adjustments in recent years, they have changed the industrial structure focusing on resource-based and highly-polluting products in the past. Internally tapping new potential products with high value-added products, such as high-tech products such as ceramic grinding balls represented by Sinoma Advanced Materials Co., Ltd., earned US$4.53 million in exports in the first quarter, a significant increase of 41.8% year-on-year; On the one hand, with the gradual recovery of the international economic situation, demand in major markets such as Europe and the United States has rebounded, which has boosted the city’s ceramic product export growth.
