Tektronix (Headquarters: Kawasaki City) has marketed the "TungQuad" for the small-diameter (12 to 40mm) milling cutters and the blade-replacement blades for shoulder milling. The insert is a multi-blade product for efficient machining.
The new product is a tool with a corner angle of 90°. The company has previously introduced the same tool, but this new product uses a smaller blade than the original size. In this way, the number of blades that can be mounted on a tool holder with a tool diameter of 40 mm has been increased from three to eight. Compared with the original product, it can improve processing efficiency and reduce processing costs.
The blades include the general-purpose "MJ Breaker" and the "AJ Breaker" for aluminum alloy processing. The diameter of the inscribed circle is 5.09mm. In terms of price, the MJ Breaker for the coating material "AH725" is 756 yen (tax included).
The shank is divided into a 32mm and 40mm bore (Bore) and a 12-40mm diameter drill (Shank). The material is suitable for machining steel, castings, stainless steel and aluminum alloy. By surface treatment, corrosion resistance and friction resistance are improved, and the service life is prolonged. The boring shank with a diameter of 32 mm is 579,960 yen (tax included), and the diameter of the drill shank with a diameter of 25 mm is 52,500 yen (tax included).
