Studies have shown that cinnamaldehyde can increase bile secretion in animals. The addition of cinnamaldehyde to the diet has been shown to stimulate intestinal mucosa and pancreatic digestive enzyme activity. As a result of continuous experiments, 100 ppm of thymol and cinnamaldehyde were added to the diet. It was found that adding thymol and cinnamaldehyde to the amylase, lipase, quinine, and pancreas of 21-day-old or 40-day-old chickens There was a significant effect of the activity of the milk protease. Also found that cinnamaldehyde can promote and improve animal growth or performance, improve feed palatability, increase animal appetite, can improve feed digestion and utilization and animal product quality. It can prevent feed deterioration** and extend preservation time. Combining cinnamaldehyde with other plant raw materials to compose a certain amount of plant-derived feed additive and feeding different doses to broilers, the results showed that nitrogen deposition rate, dry matter digestibility, and blood in the test group were found. Triiodothyronine and thyroxine levels were also significantly higher than those in the control group. Uric acid and urea nitrogen levels were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the growth performance of broilers was significantly improved. At the same time, it was also found that the addition of cinnamaldehyde to diets can stimulate the growth of beneficial bacteria in the intestinal tract of male broilers, reduce the proliferation of harmful bacteria and improve intestinal function, and increase the growth performance of broilers.

Researchers also studied urinary metabolites of cinnamaldehyde in rats and rats. Cinnamaldehyde was rapidly excreted through the urine during the first 24 h, and after 72 h, only 2% of the administered dose remained in the corpus callosum. The main metabolite of cinnamaldehyde is hippuric acid. Therefore, cinnamaldehyde has no effect on the meat quality of broilers as a feed additive.
