Statistics show that China's parts and components enterprises have increased from 25,000 in the mid-1990s to the current 30,000, with an average annual increase of at least 500 companies. Not only that, but the number of vehicle manufacturers has increased from more than 110 in 1994 when the government announced industrial policies such as optimization and support, to the current 124.

In fact, no one can know for sure how many parts and components companies are in China. In Zhejiang Province alone, there are no less than 20,000. For example, there are more than 450 motor manufacturers coexisting in China, and there are more than 50 piston ring enterprises in the surrounding areas of Yizheng Shuanghuan. As a result, many well-known parts and components companies have survived for a long time. Among the 124 automakers, only the top 10 accounted for 90% of the market share, and the latter 100 are still based on the market.

"Unbalanced economic development determines that the Chinese market will not be as "black and white" as the European market, but a multi-level, multi-product mixed market, which requires different parts suppliers, which is extremely complicated." Ni Wei said .

It is understood that at the Shanghai International Parts Exhibition, the domestic diesel engines exhibited from the international advanced level of Europe V, Europe IV, to the current implementation of Europe III, Europe II, and even Europe I, Europe 0. According to statistics, China produces more than 40 million engines each year, including nearly 10 million cars and commercial vehicles, as well as about 30 million motorcycles, agricultural vehicles, construction machinery and marine engines. If the engine manufacturers do not have the ability to supply cars and commercial vehicles, they can supply other 30 million locomotives.

"With the continuous development of China's national economy and the rapid growth of the automobile industry, the demand for parts and components will continue to expand. This also determines that the number of component manufacturers will not decrease but will increase," said Ni Wei.

At the same time, the number of entrants continues to emerge in the vehicle sector. From electrical appliances, air conditioners, honey, alcohol and other fields to the automotive or parts sector, the market capacity is still expanding, and the variety and quantity of parts and components will increase.

According to the statistics of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, by the end of 2006, the total industrial output value of China's auto parts manufacturing enterprises reached 539.7 billion yuan; in 2007, the total output value of parts and components industry reached 670 billion yuan; in 2008, the total industrial output value of China's auto parts industry was close to 10,000 yuan. The billion mark, reaching 948.75 billion yuan. In recent years, the average annual growth rate has been 30%~40%.
